We are within walking distance to the township of Penneshaw where you can find the local hotel, Sorrento Restaurant, Pizza & Fish, local supermarket (open 8am till 8pm every day).

Things to see and do within the Penneshaw and Dudley Peninsula area:
It is an easy 5 minute walk to the beautiful Hog Bay Beach where you may choose to stroll the white sandy shores or take a refreshing swim in the crystal clear waters, visit the Penguin centre or take a leisurely walk into Baudin Conservation Park, play a round of golf or tennis, visit the Maritime Museum or one of the many art and craft galleries. The Visitor Information Centre is within walking distance and if fishing interests you then Christmas Cove boat ramp is at the bottom of the street or maybe you might like to take one of the many fishing charters available on the island. We are only minutes away from the ferry terminal and a short drive to Cape Willoughby Lighthouse or one of the many cellar doors where you can try local wines and produce.

Getting around Penneshaw is easy!
If you like walking then Penneshaw is easy to get around. There is a shuttle bus that departs Penneshaw daily to Kingscote and return. There is no public transport on the island, so you do need a vehicle to see the island or if you prefer you can take one of the many tours on offer.
